And for once, even her normal resourcefulness isn’t going to help.
My Reviews:
Book 1:
This is the first book I have read by Ami LeCoeur and I was not disappointed at all, I loved the book and highly recommend it to others. It’s not your typical poor girl meets rich guy story, this book has so much more going on with the story line. Ami gives the perfect amount of backstory in the first few chapters so you are able to understand the sisters and their situation. Both Angela and Antonio are very strong characters (without overshadowing other characters in the book) but it’s obvious that their story is not the only one that will be present in the series. Not only do you feel the growing romantic & sexual tension between Angela and Antonio but you sense that something might be going on between Maria and Thompson. It will be interesting to see how Angela deals with her attraction and feelings for Antonio as she learns more about the suspected mobster. I can’t wait to see what happens between these characters in the coming books.
Book 2:
This is a great book I really enjoyed reading it, couldn’t put it down until I was done. This book went in a slightly different direction than I was expecting with Antonio and Angela after I read the first book but I was not disappointed at all. Antonio’s insecurities in regards to his relationship with Angela stand out more in this book than the last which is a refreshing twist compared to other books in this genre. I look forward to the twists and turns that Ami LeCoeur adds to the interaction between these two characters. I can’t wait for book 3 to come out
Book 3:
Ami LeCoeur has done it again, this book is great. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Just when you think Angela is finally getting through to Antonio Ami goes and shakes everything up. Will Angela and Antonio have a future? Will Angela be able to get past Antonio’s secretive past? Will Antonio finally open up to Angela and tell her everything? What did Thompson do before coming to work for Antonio and does Maria know? It’s been a while since a book series has pulled me in like this, I love it. Can’t wait for the next installment to this series.
Book 4:
I don’t know how she does it but 4 books in and I’m still hooked. I like were she’s is going with Maria and Thompson and hopefully they end up together, they both deserve it. As for Antonio, you can’t help love the guy but you also want to slap him silly until he comes to his senses and spills all of his secrets to Angela. Speaking of secrets, Angela is getting pretty good at digging up some of her own; will she spill them all to Antonio? To Maria? Should she? How much longer can Angela hold out before she kicks Naomi’s butt?
Book 5:
This final book of the series is about twice as long as the others but well worth the time set aside to read it. Big, major secrets were revealed; Antonio finally opens up to the ladies about everything. Angela manages to get herself into a bit of hot water and Maria takes a major step professionally. Book 5 ties up everything nicely and I know this is supposed to be the end of the series but I really hope that this is not the last we will see if these characters. Ami LeCoeur has the perfect backstory in place for a book or two showcasing Maria and Thompson.
Overall:
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. This is a great series I really enjoyed reading it, couldn’t put it down until I was done. While reading the series I look forward to the twists and turns that Ami LeCoeur adds to the interaction between Antonio and Angela. Just when you think Angela is finally getting through to Antonio Ami goes and shakes everything up.
